Band Searchlight Showcase
EMU brings you some of the hottest emerging talent from all over the US. Join us at Base Camp Bar and Grill, where we’ll set up a small stage near the outdoor patio and rock out all day. EMU ticket holders get in free and can enjoy drink specials all day long. For those without an EMU ticket, day of tickets can be bought in cash at the door. Due to ABC Snowmass Rules and Regulations, after 6pm, attendees under 21 must be accompanied by a parent. Enjoy performance by:
THE HOLLER!
The Holler! is based in Fort Collins, Colorado, specializing in their own brand of Grassy Folkedelic Rock. Core instrumentation includes mandolin, guitar, bass and drums, each with dynamic versatility for acoustic or electric environments. The band enjoys a rich collaboration between all members, each contributing lyrics and their own unique vocal timbers. Interweaving progressive folk rock compositions with groovy improvisational skills, The Holler!’s energetic live show induces movement of body and mind. Their repertoire artistically celebrates their reverence for nature, the exploration of human consciousness, and their passion for festive community gatherings. They have a charismatic ability to connect with a diverse demographic of music lovers, shaking up dance floors, elevating love frequencies, and having lots of fun along the way!
THE DUSTY NEIL BAND
The Dusty Neil Band is an electric country powerhouse that has been playing around the Colorado Front Range since early 2010. Dusty has played the Kaboom Town festival amongst other great places, and is gearing up to share his uplifting blend of alternative rock and Texas country which he made his own genre called “Electric Country” which is also making a big hit throught Colorado with his new band. Originally from Dallas, Texas, The Dusty Neil Band signed with independent development label WoodStack Records in January 2010. The Dusty Neil Band’s debut album, Electric Country 13, is now in pre-production at the WoodStack Studio.
BETTER THAN BACON
“Greasy Rock ‘n’ Roll with Old Soul!” Better Than Bacon packages well-crafted tunes with punchy grooves, gritty vocals and sizzling guitars. Blend in buttery harmonies and jazz sensibilities and out comes our melting pot of homecookin’! Based out of Fort Collins, CO, they’re a group of musicians who’ve collectively performed across the United States: from the peaks of the Continental Divide and the shores of the Great Lakes down to the voodoo bayous of the Southern Swamplands. BTB’s performances feature funky, danceable grooves, catchy songs with barbed hooks, and a lot of sweat!
BASSLINE
Boulder’s rising star, BassLine is a “Blues-rock fueled” (Boulder Weekly) sound exploding on scene since the summer of 2008. They seamlessly blend classic rock from the likes of Zeppelin with a unique progressive blues sound creating an undeniable style. BassLine was on the Daily Camera’s list of the top five young bands to watch.
CARRY ME OHIO
Carry Me Ohio’s music can best be described as a form of Americana, with sounds that are merged from folk, country, rhythm & blues, rock & roll, as well as classical music. Their sound grew organically when the diverse influences of its members came together to create something unique.
